Knot what you’d think!


I saw this video and thought I’d share it with you. But I missed seeing a clove hitch, which is a knot I use all the time. And although it’s a super-clear video, it doesn’t really explain WHERE you’d use these knots, or that some of these knots are designed to tie different thicknesses of rope together.

So, I went looking for knots. And I found this site. What a fantastic resource! As Grog says, It’s better to know a knot and not need it, than need a knot and not know it. Remember, that in real life, factors other than the knot you select will come into play, such as condition of your rope, type of rope, weight of load, etc.
