Would you cook Thanksgiving dinner in the dishwasher?

We’ve all heard of the woman who poached a salmon on the top shelf of the dishwasher and the episode of Mythbusters where they cooked a lasagne to prove they could. It turns out that lots of people steam their food in their dishwasher which can reach 145 degrees – a great cooking temperature. Of course, you seal everything in containers which mimics the current trend for sous vide cooking. (And don’t add soap!)

Here is an irritatingly perky Valley Girl showing you how to do it. A few tweaks will give you a Thanksgiving dinner. To see a photo and text Thanksgiving dinner version (which for copyright reasons I can’t share here), head to Chubbies. It looks great! He has some hints about chopping up veggies really small and how to wrap the turkey.
